Shanara’s Wedding

Shanara’s wedding was a small low key event held in her parent’s backyard.

She worn a devine designer gown from Grace Loves Lace.

She wanted a simple soft boho look with her hair and makeup. As usual Sheree Stewart from Shire Mobile Hair did a fantastic job creating this.

The makeup I used was by Temptu for the airbrushing and I then used MAC eye makeup and peach blush with a soft pink lip.

Sophie & Joel

I have known Sophie for over 10 years, so when she asked me to do her makeup for her wedding I was thrilled.

Getting ready at Rydges Cronulla was lots of fun with her family & bridesmaids.

The bridesmaids wore  gorgeous lilac coloured dresses along with pastel flowers with pinks & purples.

Sophie went for natural looking makeup and I used  airbrushing makeup on her to create a flawless look. She also wore lashes to enhance her smokey eyes.

Tips for the perfect spray tan for your wedding day!

Most importantly……..have a trial run. Don’t take any chances, make sure you have a trial spray tan at least one month before your wedding day with an experienced spray tanning technician.  Take a photo of yourself with your tan after the trial. This way you will see what your skin will look like on your wedding photos.

Don’t get a tan, ask for a glow. Dark tans do not look good with beautiful white wedding dresses, and can look very odd. For weddings, lighter is better.  Make sure you ask the spray tanning technician to give you a colour that is a “golden glow” or “golden hue”.  The aim here is that all of your guests will be making comments on how radiant and healthy you look, not how great the fake tan is.

Never, ever be tempted to get a dark tan for your wedding! Not just for the bride, consider spray tanning all members of your wedding party.

If you are going to be tanned it really is worth considering having the whole wedding party spray tanned.  If all (including groom and groomsmen) of your wedding party have a subtle tan, it may make all the difference to your photos (a pasty groom and a lovely golden bride might not look so wonderful!). Take pictures after your trial to test this out.

Have your wedding spray tan 2 days before the big day.

Spray tan takes approx 6-8 hours to fully develop and often look their best on the second day. Have your spray tan two days before for best results.

Make sure you spray tan with the same solution that you were happy with, and where possible with the same tanning technician. This way you ensure you get the same coverage and colour.

Say I Do Wedding’s Launch 2012

The official launch of Say I Do Weddings was held last night at Gardens on Forest at Peakhurst.

It was a fantastic night meeting other business owners & wedding suppliers in the industry within the Sutherland Shire.

The aim of Say I Do Weddings is to be a one stop website for brides getting married in southern Sydney with everything they need on one wedding site with many quality suppliers in each category.

We had yummy canapes, sipped on champagne and chatted the night away, it was a huge networking success.

A big thank you to everyone that was involved & especially to Lara from BEC who organised the launch night.

Cheers Cathy
